Spicy Mussels Steam in Chardonnay and Seafood Soup Wantons with Tofu

Yesterday was a nice sunny day :)

Something light and offcourse spicy was tempting , lets starting with a delicious appetizer

Spicy Mussels Steam in Chardonnay

One kg nice fresh mussels , onion , garlic , chilli, red chilli pepper , leek , tomato , salt & white pepper  and one big glass of Chardonnay

Very quick steam , about 5 min

Served with with squeeze lime and fresh basil leaf and offcourse a cold glass of French Chradonnay ;) boOoM !

The sun goes down and getting a bit cold … and then feels for  something warm , still the choice something light food …..

Seafood Soup Wantons with Tofu was the winner ;)

Prawn wanton , lobster balls, fish balls and tofu —> very light and super quick , together with Chilean Cabarnet Sauvignon is perfect combo’ from the seafood and spicy  become a bitter sweet taste

still aint get enough of the mussels ? ;)

Served the soup with fresh  leek leaves….fantastic

as always …. delicious ;)

Spiritual Hamburger

Spring time and i just love bbq :)

Lets do the home made Spiritual Hamburger “boundless imagination”

Here we go ;)

Beef patties and ground beef (800 g) mixed with one egg, mint leaf, curry spices, seasalt, white pepper, onion, gralic, a little bit chili, grated parmesan cheese and some soy oil

Preparing mayonnaise with squeeze lime , salt and mint leaf–> keep it cold in the fridge

Bbq time :) ….. smells wonderful from all that fusion mix spices

Deep-fried —> French fries

Frying bacon in butter

Looks like the burger almost ready , put the slice of cheese on the top hamburger on the last minutes

Ramona salad , tomatoes , red onion and avocado –> the perfect simple tasty salad for this burger

Fried bacon and fried mushrooms is ready

Some tortilla just make the burger more crunchy ;)

Served the warm french  fries  with fresh mayonnaise

The hamburger table is ready

Warm hamburger bread is ready to fill

Voila………

Thats why  i call for Spiritual Hamburger ….. Huge , tasty , perfect grill and the flavor of  french fries with mayonnaise !! What a taste ….

Still desperatly after hot hot hot spicy food

Ayam bakar bumbu rujak is very Indonesian -its very spicy hot !!  I havent make this dishes for a while and  what i made this time is my own version

Pecan/hazelnutz , red small onion, garlic , red chilli, ginger — > blend it

One whole chicken cut in four pieces- pour a bit soya oil , salt & white pepper and squeeze lemon–> Grill it

Both side about 8 min – each side

Here is the results of the blend seasoning – put some chop lemon grass , coconut brown sugar ,bay and little bit salt –> warm it up in 3 spoon of hot soya oil

When they getting more brown and smells nice – put the halv grilled chicken- low heating cooking – marinating about 15 min

And put back the chicken on the grill – bbq both side about 10 min each side

Done …. pour some of the rest of seasoning–> Voila

Served with warm jasmin rice with mint leaf  and simple salad , like ramona salad leaf , cucumber and tomatoes

Hand eaten ! Just like we do in Indonesia with this dishes…hmmm Peter cant manage hand eaten but im very proud of him- his managed chilli eaten just like me and sometimes even more :) so cool for a white guy baby ;)

Spicy Coriander Prawn/Scampi

Desperatly after spicy food & super hungry ;) hmmm… made some quick, easy and yummie then

Spicy Coriander Prawn/ Scampi

Chop  red onion , garlic, ginger , green and red chilli –> fried into the warm wok with soya oil

So put the prawn-> blend it with sea salt , white pepper –> High heat !

Pour some coconut milk , baby corn, red paprika , long pea ( another milder type of long bean ) and fresh chop coriander at the last

Voila

Nice warm jasmin rice with fried onion and pine nuts

Dinner is ready in 10 min and with French Cabernet Sauvignon “monastier” is Perfect ;)

Steam Mussels in Cava,Cauliflower au Gratin in Blue Castello and Surf’sUp Beef with Scampi

Had a fantstic lovely quiet saturday evening , doin’  nothing but eating, drinking good wine , listening  to great music , watched movies and eating again !

Still on my ” un-strictly” carbo’ diet , I just love good food and wine , cant help it ! But who said you cannot enjoy fantastic meal even you on diet ….

Just check out my delicious meal ( its quick , its easy and its non carbo’ )

Steam Mussels in Cava

One kg very fresh nice mussels , wash it nicely

Chop onion , garlic and chilli

Fried in the pan with soya oil and chop spring onions

Put the mussels….blend it nicely

Pour about one glass of Cava , salt & white pepper –> steam it about 5 min

Looks pretty much ready , put the chop dill in the last minutes

Voila ;) what a lovely appetizer

and another Spanish Rioja from 2003

Cauliflower/Asparagus au Gratin in Blue Castello

Nothing more simple then it is , half cooked cauliflower & butter fried asparagus  au gratin with blue castello in the oven about 8 min – 180 degress

Surf’sUp Beef with Scampi

Fried the pepper beef steak -3 min each side in butter

Perfect medium steak ;)

Quick fried the Scampi in soya oil with chilli , garlic and chop fresh oregano

Voila…..

Ready to served with fresh spinach salad ;) ( no need sauce – its saucy creamy enough from the au gratin  blue castello )

what a fantastic meal ;) this is all my own head fantasy offcourse , the beef i call it Surf’sUp because its kind of remind me the Beef Steak i used to eat in Bali after many hours with surfing ! oh yeah…..
